The Eagle has Landed

The Eagle has Landed, HOMECOMING! Committee

Inspired by Alexander Calder’s monumental red-orange stabile The Eagle, which stood in front of the Fort Worth National Bank Building for 17 years before its removal from downtown, The Eagle has Landed was a multi-part public project. HOMECOMING! built a giant inflatable version of the sculpture, nearly as large as Calder’s original, which made surprise landings north, south, east, and west of downtown Fort Worth before a final day-long landing in Burnett Park.
